Objectives:

This set of six PowerPoint presentations are designed to provide basic information about testing for occupational purposes as part of a hearing conservation program.  They include two sets of slides about occupational audiometric testing that is designed to comply with OSHA requirements and four sets of slides about various aspects of hearing conservation programs. The programs were developed for use at the technician level: people without any medical training in industrial settings to be in compliance with OSHA regulations. However, the AOEC Peer Review Committee also recommends them for any health care professional in need of an introduction to the topic.

Each PowerPoint has notes included within the program in addition to the slides.  If you have any problems viewing the programs in this format, contact the AOEC office for copies in separate formats.  AOEC thanks Dr. Rimmer for donating these programs for the use of other AOEC members and the AOEC Library.
