Clinic Description
A full spectrum of the practice of occupational medicine is seen in the clinics of the IOEH, including workplace injuries, evaluations of toxic exposures, fitness-for-duty and surveillance examinations, disability evaluations, and medico-legal examinations. The clinic serves as a unique resource in its region and in West Virginia. In addition, the clinic acts as a major resource for the management of workers compensation in West Virginia.
The clinic is located within the Medical Specialties clinic of the Physicians Office Center. This clinic serves as a referral resource for patients from West Virginia and five or more nearby states. Many patients in this setting are those with more complex injuries or illnesses, referrals from other physicians, and those with concerns regarding etiology of illness.
