AOEC's AWARDS

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Children's Health Protection recognized the AOEC as one of 15 organizations to receive a 2005 Children's Environmental Health Excellence Award for outstanding commitment to protecting children from environmental health risks. AOEC was presented with a second award in 2007.  The awards were given in recognition of the AOEC Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit (PEHSU) Program.

The Children's Environmental Health Excellence Awards increase awareness, stimulate activity, and recognize efforts that protect children from environmental health risks at the local, regional, national and international level. Excellence Awards are presented annually to groups or individuals that exemplify invaluable leadership in the protection of children from environmental health risks.
