You can hear
what students thought about their intern experience in the comments below:
from OHIP participants in summer 2004, and from interns from a similar
program begun in the mid-1970s. These internships are not only a great
way to spend the summer, but can lead to lasting career decisions.
The OHIP program is based on a highly successful intern program developed
by the Oil, Chemical, and Atomic Workers Union (OCAW) in the 1970s and
1980s in collaboration with the Montefiore Medical Center Department of
Social Medicine and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Several of
today's top leaders in occupational and public health point to their internship
as key factor in choosing the occupational health field.
